The aim of the experiment was to filter long data sequence using OSM and OAM. The inputs are very large in these methods. They are used for decreasing the output delay. Also, aliasing effect is present in OSM in the initial M-1 samples in the corresponding output block. This effect is absent in OAM.
Overlap add and overlap save method is used in filtering of long data sequence
ReplyDeleteOSM and OAM can be used in FIR filters for long input sequence
ReplyDeleteOAM and OSM are block transfering techniques
ReplyDeleteProcessing is faster because of use of FFT for OAM and OSM
ReplyDeleteOAM cannot be used for IIR filter as it is infinite length sequence
ReplyDeleteOutput can be found easily
ReplyDeleteThese methods are suitable for real time signal processing.
